Breath is a fundamental and powerful aspect of life. In Sanskrit our life energy is known as Prana. Yogic breathing, or Pranayama, is the practice of cultivating our vital energy by controlling the breath. The manipulation of breath, at and beyond its normal limits; stretching it, speeding it up, slowing it down, allows us to experience the full range of respiration on both gross and subtle levels.
The breath is the door between our body and our mind, the portal between meditation and asana practice. This workshop is intended to develop a personal practice; to cultivate, sustain, and enhance prana towards the goal of experiential insight.
Come and experience the science of Pranayama, one of the most powerful tools for mental balance, health, and stress management.
“When you control the breath you control the mind; When you control the mind you control the body” – Lino Miele.

Fifteen minutes into our private, Bruce had me painlessly bending over to touch my toes without support for the first time in three years. After an hour I felt euphoric and hopeful, dancing through my day with grace and ease. Bruce possesses an in-depth knowledge of the human body, of proper alignment, and of the body’s potential limitations due to trauma or long-term abuse. He has excellent communication skills; as a teacher he is present, focused, light and has a great sense of humor. I have recommended him to many friends and will continue to do so.” -Leza– yoga student and therapy client
