In this series, we will study the various components and key actions of eka pada rajakapotasana in all the different areas of our bodies. Through exploring various anatomical functions and movements in detail (though we will work to get in to the full pose every class, each week will focus on different key actions and/or parts of the body), you will open, stretch, and strengthen the necessary parts of your body in order to obtain your version of king pigeon most safely and effectively. An added bonus/fun aspect of the series: students will have the option to have their photo taken in the pose after each class to document and track their progress!
Prerequisites: Urdhva Dhanurasana. A willingness to learn and get deeper into the knowledge of anatomy and biomechanics of the body. Please consult with instructor if you have limitations or injuries.
