About the Program

This 100-hour Advanced Teacher Training is a deep dive into the art and science of intelligent peak pose sequencing, designed for yoga teachers from all backgrounds who want to refine their craft, expand their technical understanding, and diversify their offerings for students at specific levels.

Led by Christina Sell—internationally recognized teacher trainer and specialist in peak pose sequencing—this immersive training explores how to design classes that are purposeful, progressive, anatomically informed, and experientially rich. Christina’s approach integrates decades of teaching experience with precise biomechanical insight, clear pedagogical frameworks, and an embodied understanding of how sequencing supports both safety and transformation.

The training is divided into four distinct parts, meeting four times over the course of one year. This extended format allows participants to build sequentially on pose knowledge, anatomical understanding, and embodied practice. Each module layers complexity over time, giving teachers space to integrate learning into their own teaching, practice, and observation between sessions.

Across the four modules, participants will explore:
  • Advanced principles of peak pose sequencing across a wide range of asana categories
  • How to intelligently prepare the body through progressive, functional pathways
  • Anatomical concepts as they apply directly to sequencing choices and class design
  • Skillful use of counterposes, transitions, and energetic pacing
  • Teaching strategies for different student populations and experience levels
  • How to balance creativity with clarity, intention, and structural integrity
A central emphasis of the training is integration—connecting anatomy to sensation, theory to practice, and sequencing logic to real-time teaching decisions. Each module includes lecture, discussion, analysis of sequences, and substantial practice time to ensure learning is fully embodied rather than purely conceptual.

This training is ideal for teachers who:
  • Want to deepen their understanding of why sequences work, not just how to build them
  • Are ready to move beyond formulaic approaches toward more nuanced, responsive class design
  • Wish to confidently offer classes tailored to specific levels, themes, or peak poses
  • Value a methodical, intelligent approach grounded in both tradition and modern biomechanics
By the end of the program, participants will have a refined sequencing methodology, a stronger anatomical lens, and the confidence to design sophisticated, intentional classes that clearly prepare students for peak poses while honoring the integrity of the practice.
This advanced training is for teachers committed to depth, integration, and continued evolution in their teaching.
