Autumn Equinox Sadhana: Yoga & Ritual Practice
In Person with GABY COLLETTA
|
About this Workshop Join Gaby for a 2 hour ritual flow and meditation to honor the sacred juncture of Autumn Equinox. This day marks a shift in season from the vibrancy of Summer to the introspection and slowing down of Fall. It can be a powerful time to pause, reflect and re-align with the natural rhythms of the Earth as a way of cultivating equanimity amidst change. Our collective “Sadhana” or spiritual practice will include a blend of subtle body practices such as breathwork, yoga asana, kriya, mantra, mudra, culminating in a guided nidra meditation with singing bowls. Consider this an invitation to nourish yourself through personal ritual, embodied movement and meditation. What to expect: • Guided introspection & journaling exploring energetics of what Ayurveda calls “Vata” or Fall season • Pranayama breathwork practice for nervous system regulation • 75 minute asana practice that includes a blend of slow flow vinyasa, yin and restorative poses to ground and support the immunity • 30 minute yoga nidra meditation accompanied by Himalayan singing bowls Bring a journal, something to write with and any ritual items you’d like to add to the collective altar during our practice. Wear comfortable clothes for yoga practice.
