About:
The feet are a super complex part of the body—we have so many cutaneous receptors, muscle spindles, joint proprioceptors on and in our feet that communicate with our vestibular and nervous systems so we can become upright and bipedal. When the feet don't function at their best, it can cause various issues in other parts of the body because it disrupts the interconnectedness of the kinetic chain, from the leg muscles down to the feet; and issues within this chain can cascade downstream, leading to various injuries and pathologies. In this workshop, we will explore the significance of loading, balance, range of motion, and posture, emphasizing the crucial role of foot strength in preventing both injuries and falls. Great for people with foot and/or ankle issues like plantar fasciitis, bunions, flat feet, achilles injuries, stress fractures, chronic ankle sprains, etc A Recording of the class is available if you can’t make it Live!
