Vinyasa practice does not have to be fast but should be fluid. The second chakra, represented by water, is your home, your body's center of gravity. Learning to move from your center improves mechanics and lessens injuries while it improves coordination and fluidity.
Chris Coniaris has been a yoga teacher for over 25 years. He has practiced meditation for 40 years and has 30 years of hatha yoga training. His lifetime interest in the outdoors, athletics and philosophy influence his teachings. Using classical and novel approaches, he weaves philosophy and refined experience into his classes that emphasize the importance of breath. His concise, practical explanations and his enthusiasm inspire students to deepen their own yoga experience. Chris teaches yoga and meditation classes, workshops, retreats and teacher trainings throughout the U.S.
