Steady Knees, Happy Hips The body moves and functions as a vastly intelligent kinetic chain of muscles, joints, tissues, bones, etc. that work together as an intricate connected system. Like links in a chain, each part of the body influences the next, so dysfunction in one area can cause compensation or imbalance elsewhere that can lead to injury or pain. The health and function of your knees and hips are inextricably linked to one another—and everywhere else—but in this workshop, we will specifically focus on mobility, stability, and strength in the knees and hips. Whether you're recovering from injury, managing discomfort, tightness, or sensitivity, or simply looking to improve joint mobility and strength, this workshop will provide practical tools and insights. Ideal for all levels, including beginners, people recovering from knee/hip injury or replacement, athletes, and older adults. About Jenn:
Jenn Bemis has over 900 hours of training in several different schools of yoga including Vinyasa, Hatha, Anusara, and yoga therapeutics (500RYT), and has been teaching since 2009. Jenn’s classes are infused with precise and detailed alignment cues, while keeping the fluid Vinyasa form of breath and movement within creative, mindful, and intentional sequences. |
