ABOUT:
Winter Solstice Retreat: An Opportunity for Stillness
In this intimate weekend retreat we will carve the time for movement, meditation, reflection, and community with the changing season. Our time will consist of a candlelight yoga class and meditation Friday night, a slow flow movement practice Saturday morning followed by journaling and other activities for contemplation, an afternoon restorative practice with essential oils (optional) and tea time with invitation for small group practice, and a Sunday morning sound bath.
Upon registration all participants will be sent an email with some creative suggestions to make your non-residential retreat more complete and more personal. Each individual can curate their time outside of our container as they wish, inclusive of suggestions for body work/body care, labyrinth time, bath/soaks, and food prep. Upon registration participants will also be sent a list of what to bring to our sessions together. While this is meant to be a personal space for contemplative practice, there will be some interactive opportunities that participants can choose to share in if they would like. Space is limited. If you are interested and in need of a sliding scale, please reach out. And if you are interested and able to support someone by paying it forward with adding an additional payment to your cost, please also let us know. ABOUT MICHELLE:
Michelle Marks has been facilitating experiential practices on and off the yoga mat since 2001. She recognizes all of her offerings as practices of yoga, and off the mat calls it individual and couple therapy in her full time private practice. Exploring spirituality and science and the depths of relationship within and between is what feels like the best way to describe how Michelle is spending her time personally and professionally these days. Her classes are an offering for practitioners to deepen their connection to their internal landscape and the interface with the world around whilst also lightening the spirit whenever possible. |
