She works with memory care patients and assisted living residents. She sings and crafts song sets for their wellbeing and often pairs her singing with movement therapy. She is a 500 hr certified yoga teacher and is invested in studying the mind and body connection. She works and lives to use the power of music for healing, for health, and for all of its benefits. Rachel King has been teaching yoga at YogaOasis since 2007 and managing since 2000. In this time, she has come to deeply appreciate the power of practice, and feels a lifetime of gratitude for all the incredible teachers and practitioners who have come through the doors of YO. In her classes she aims to playfully share the potency and challenge of this practice as a tool for deepening self awareness, connection, and love; and hopefully some really beautiful music too! |
