About the Luminous Life Series

Rather it should become the taproot from which the other aspects of your life are nourished and regenerated." -Godfrey Devereux Join Marcia for this 3 month holistic self-care series devoted to your total wellbeing. During this 3 month series, we will meet twice a month, for a full 2 1/2 hour experience that is meant to nourish and inspire you. Each session meet up will include yoga, some contemplative writing, as well as some Integrative Nutrition health coaching practices and tools you can put to use in your daily life for your own betterment. Ultimately, the aim of this series is simply to give each participant time to look at what might be out of balance in their life, and then guide each individual toward making thoughtful, lasting changes that are genuinely supportive. The idea is to cultivate a more integrated, sustainable and regenerative way of life. There are so many simple, small things we can each do to improve the quality of our lives. We do not need to live in a chronic state of stress and exhaustion, and running on empty all of the time- as if this were normal. It is not. We can each bring more peace and ease into our lives simply by our daily choices, habits and practices. So let's expand the idea of practice to include more than just movement and diet. We will begin each session with centering and community connection, a light yoga practice, and some contemplative writing with prompts for deeper understanding and connection to the Self. We will then shift our energy and attention toward practices that you will be able to slowly and easily add into the fold of your life to improve the quality of your life and health on every level. In this community of participants, it's imperative that we each show up ready to listen and support each other in making positive, lasting changes for the better. Items needed: Mat, pen, eye cover (hand towel or eye pillow), socks - A journal and all other props needed will be provided. About Marcia: Marcia Tullous (RYT-200) has been practicing yoga for 24 years and teaching for 19. She is a firm believer in the healing benefits of yoga and in the power we have to heal ourselves by giving to ourselves what we need most, whether that’s healthier food, more rest, time in nature, or a good dose of laughter. Marcia is certified as a level 2 Relax and Renew Restorative Yoga teacher, andis a graduate of the Institute of Integrative Nutrition Health Coaching program. |
