Ancient Wisdom for Modern Living Eligible for Yoga Alliance CE: 20 Hours 9 in class hours, 11 through integration practices, rituals and reflection and a final assignment. Description Join Ayurvedic Health Counselor and Somatic Therapist Gaby Colletta for a six-week integrative course on the Ancient healing science of life. Explore the foundation of this 5000-year old medicine in the context of today’s world. Learn how to work with the elements of Nature and cycles of seasons to promote balance and longevity. Discover your natural constitution, understand your body-mind tendencies and identify barriers or imbalances to your personal health. In this course, we explore diet, meditation practices, and sensory therapies to promote resilience and self-healing through a holistic {physical, emotional, mental and spiritual} lens. We create sustainable rituals to imbue everyday with greater presence, connection, ease and wellbeing. In this experiential course, we will explore self-healing practices through our senses. Each session is a mix of lecture, practice, collective discussion and group coaching. Health is deeply nuanced and individualized. Part of this course is a reclaiming of your body’s inherent intelligence and reconnection to self-trust, discernment and intuition. This course is open to all. Whether you are new to Ayurveda + Yoga or a seasoned practitioner, a healing artist, or mental health professional looking to deepen existing wisdom, you will walk away with tools to empower your own self-healing and vibrant living. A ritual kit {valued at $75 USD} is included in tuition and offers Ayurvedic tools to support integration of our lessons and bolster your everyday wellness routine. Together we will explore diet, food and herbs, how to create aromatherapy blends, the practice of self-massage for your Dosha, the use of sound and mantra for balance, pranayama, meditation and more. About your guide Gaby is a Yoga Teacher, Ayurveda Counselor and Somatic Therapist with over 15 years of practice in integrative wellness and healing arts. She facilitates nature-based retreats, guides mind-body courses and coaches individuals on how to create an ecosystem of internal resources that increase resilience and unveil intrinsic potential. Her teachings weave together Ancient traditions of Ayurveda, Tibetan Buddhism and Tantra, alongside modern-day neuroscience, somatic psychology and Earth wisdom. Gaby guides womxn’s circles and intentional collaborations committed to cultivating spaces of vulnerability, discovery, authentic expression and liberation. Through the tapestry of mind-body practices, Gaby shares tools for deeper intimacy and understanding one’s intuitive abilities, mental power and pathways to freedom. Gaby holds a Masters in Integral Counseling Psychology from CIIS and a B.A. in Media, Culture and Communications from New York University. She received her Ayurvedic training at the California College of Ayurveda with additional study under Dr. Lad and Dr. Svoboda.
