ABOUT
The Divine Path of Growing Older … and Wiser! Resilience, Wonder and Joy at all ages FRIDAY NIGHT TALK Friday Evening 7PM-8:30 June 2 Although Friday evening is the introduction to Mary’s weekend workshop, the talk is open to all. Please feel free to come if you do not plan to attend the weekend! Every one of us is called to grapple with this extraordinary time of change and chaos on Earth. How do we cultivate the mature sanity, resilience, and clarity to live heart-fully into the fierce demands of our lives? Engaging wisdom stories, songs and myths from diverse cultures and sacred traditions, elder Mary Angelon Young explores how arcs of transformation and patterns of birth, death and rebirth naturally occur over a lifetime. Her experience, vivid storytelling, and insights offer inspiration to strengthen your deep feeling of connection to Life. In all chaos there is a cosmos. In all disorder, a secret order. — C.G. Jung WEEKEND WORKSHOP Midnight Oracles & Morning Glories The Divine Path of Growing Older … and Wiser Saturday & Sunday—9AM-Noon June 3-4 The journey of becoming who you were meant to be—before the world said who you “should” be—is truly the gift of a lifetime. As our lives continually move from morning to midnight and back again, it’s never too soon or too late to embark upon—to recognize or renew—the path that leads us toward wisdom. Gazing through the lens of mythopoetics and wisdom stories from indigenous, Celtic, Greek and Hindu traditions, elder Mary Angelon guides us in a creative exploration of the path of individuation and the sacred threads that weave the patterns and fabric of our lives. Listening within, developing the resilient heart of self-compassion and self-knowledge, we can hear and respond to our inner callings, we can sing the song of the soul. Bring pens, your journal, a notebook and/or sketching paper and your choice for drawing: crayons, color markers or chalks. Wear comfortable clothing. Mary Angelon Young is a keeper of stories and sacred songs, a traveler, writer, and grandmother whose journey has led through decades of practice and study on the tantric/bhakti path of the Bauls, the heretical poet-bards of Bengal. The author of twelve books of nonfiction and four of historical fiction/fantasy, Mary has a master’s degree in transpersonal psychology and was formally trained in Jungian studies. Her years of extensive travel on pilgrimage to sacred sites in India and Celtic Europe—along with a deep love of myth and symbols—imbue her workshops and public talks with the rasa (nectar) of divine moods. Mary Angelon continues to write and teach from her off-grid home in the high desert mountains of Arizona. |
